Expanding to global markets and building sustainable businesses in the age of artificial intelligence are becoming defining challenges for founders and companies worldwide — including those in the local ecosystem. The unlockit conference, taking place on February 19–20 in Belgrade and organized by the Digital Serbia Initiative, creates a space where founders, investors, and technology leaders whose products serve millions of users globally will share real-world experiences, concrete decisions, and practical lessons on the path to global success.
How Do You Reach $100 Million in Revenue?
What does AI product growth look like in practice — and what stands behind rapid scaling without massive teams or budgets? Ravish Agrawal of Gamma.app will share his experience building a company that surpassed $100 million in annual recurring revenue in less than two years, with a team of around 50 people.
From Startup to Five Million Users
Daan De Wever, founder of Dstny, will speak about long-term growth and the challenges of scaling through multiple stages. Founded in 2008, Dstny evolved from a startup into a European leader with more than five million business users. His journey offers insights into how organizations, teams, and leadership mindsets must evolve as companies mature.
Building a Brand with Meaning — and a Product That Attracts Investment
Nina Lalić, founder of Brief Agency, who has worked with global brands such as Apple, Amazon, and Google Play, will explore how to build a brand that carries meaning and emotional depth — not just strong metrics.
The investor perspective on growth and decision-making will be brought by venture capital funds Antler and Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), which manage over $2 billion in assets. They will share insights into what distinguishes teams that secure investment from those that remain overlooked, with a focus on execution, learning velocity, and team quality.
How Local Talent Builds Global Hardware
Miloš Trajković, co-founder of Tenstorrent, will discuss what it takes to build a global technology company in one of today’s most demanding industries. He will share lessons from scaling AI hardware teams and technology across multiple geographies, including Serbia.
Connecting for the Future: More Than a Conference
“unlockit brings together people who operate daily in global markets and are ready to share their experience with our audience. This is a major opportunity for the entire region — to learn directly from those who have already navigated the growth journey, to connect, and to become more visible as a community that thinks and acts globally. These encounters matter because they create space for new regional and international partnerships, ideas, and collaborations that emerge not by chance, but through meaningful exchange,” says Tanja Kuzman, Director of the unlockit conference and the Digital Serbia Initiative.
The unlockit conference program is structured into two main tracks:
-
Growth Track, designed for founders and leaders currently scaling and internationalizing their businesses
-
Inspiration Track, aimed at students and young professionals entering the tech industry who want to think globally from day one
A special emphasis is placed on practical knowledge and strategic workshops on February 20, where participants will dive deeper into growth, sales, marketing, team organization, and the real-world application of AI in business environments. These sessions are designed for those ready to translate insights into concrete steps and decisions within their own companies.
More than 800 participants from Serbia, the region, and abroad are expected. The full program and additional details are available here.
